Design 4 - Heritage Miniscarf with checkerboard design

The Fair Isle pattern is a modern classic, with the motifs having their colours inverted like a checkerboard. It's slightly wider than TJ2mini.

The blue and rust colouring suits most colourings and skin types. A pretty safe choice.

Choose W2 for assorted wristwarmers.

Amazing little Scarf:

So I came across this scarf on the Scotland Textiles showcase website and it stopped me dead in my tracks. The colors were just exquisite, and I knew I had to own it. So I bought one. When it arrived I was awestruck, it really lives up to the pictures. It is small, but will work if tucked well into the neck of a jacket, and is oh-so-soft.

The colors are like looking through a medieval British manuscript, they are incredible and I get compliments on it constantly, I'm amazed at how many outfits it goes with.

I just have to save up now for a larger one for the coldest of days. Would buy this again in a heartbeat, amazing quality and craftsmanship.

THANK YOU!
Your review is overflowing with kindness and I truly appreciate that.
The reason that your scarf works with so many outfits is that I use (a faithful replication of) nature's colours, the colours that the knitters of old obtained from natural dyes. Natural white of the Shetland sheep, flax yellow from onion skins, rusty red from the madder plant which grew abundantly in Shetland in those days, and blue from indigo, which arrived on a boat.
And nature suits everyone, nature knows best !!

Essential Winter equipment

This is a lovely soft scarf, with a beautiful pattern. I find it is just the right size to wear out of doors with a coat or jacket, or indoors when I am sitting at my computer.

We are delighted to read that a Chilly Londoner finds a use for our products inside as well as out! Thanks so much for your kind words. The pattern is well balanced colour-wise, so does work well with most garments.
